Joanne Parker, is an Industry Development Specialist at the Ports Regulator of South Africa. The Ports Regulator is an independent ports regulatory body mandated to regulate the National Ports Authority, who is the landlord of all South African ports. Her role includes stakeholder engagement and research on port performance and pricing, amongst other port related topics.

Helen Dube is one of the three Port Regulatory Attorneys in South Africa. After obtaining an LLB degree from UKZN, she practiced as an Attorney for a short while and was offered a Legal Advisor position at the KZN Department of Transport. It was here that where she gained valuable Legal Advisory experience in the Transport Sector.

Tess Nielson is one of the three Port Regulatory Attorneys in South Africa. She started working at the tender the age of 13, in a video store, doing promotions, au pairing, therefore she learnt from a young age to be independent and career orientated. After matriculating in 2004, she went on to study an LLB (Law) degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, after which she commenced a Master’s Degree in Maritime Studies.
