Mr. Sibusiso Zondo
Programme Manager

Mr. Sibusiso Zondo has been a prominent figure in the maritime industry since joining the sector and cluster in 2014. He initially worked in the office of the Managing Director, where he was responsible for compiling program reports for industry stakeholders and municipal authorities. Later, he was appointed Company Secretary, coordinating the activities of all five committees within the cluster and the board. In 2016, Mr. Zondo transitioned to the Training and Skills Development Unit, serving as an assistant to the program coordinator. His leadership skills were recognised in 2019 when he was appointed to coordinate the Training and Skills Development Programme, a position he has successfully maintained. Additionally, he has led all career expos and related awareness programs since 2017. Mr. Zondo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

 

Ms. Yamkela Nhleko

Ms. Yamkela Nhleko began her journey at EMC in 2020 as a Training and Skills Development Intern. She now spearheads the Enterprise Development Unit, a role she has embraced since 2023. Yamkela has a BSocSci in Community Development and Management, a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Management, and a Master of Commerce in Management from UKZN. She further distinguished herself with an MSc in Maritime Affairs (Maritime Education & Training) from the World Maritime University.

 

Mr. Ngcebo Nxumalo

Industry Promotion Unit
Diploma in Journalism and Communication, Damelin College

Mr. Ngcebo Nxumalo joined EMC in 2019 as an Industry Promotion intern. He has risen through the ranks to lead the unit and has played a crucial role in promoting the cluster through various marketing platforms, as shown by the increase in stakeholder numbers. He has participated in the Annual Career Expo since 2019 and has also promoted several related industry awareness campaigns. He holds a Diploma in Journalism and Media Communications from Damelin College.

 

 

Mr Sizwe Sandile Dlamini
Programme Manager Marine Manufacturing
Bachelor of Laws, PG Diploma, MCom (UKZN), MSc in Maritime Affairs (World Maritime University), Compliance Management Course (UCT).

Mr. Sizwe Dlamini joined EMC as a Trainee Company Secretary, where he gained hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, board support, and corporate administration. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management, an MCom in Human Resources Management specialising in Industrial Relations (UKZN), an MSc in Maritime Affairs with a focus on Maritime Law and Policy, and a Compliance Management Certificate from UCT. A versatile and detail-oriented professional with a multidisciplinary background spanning law, human resources, and compliance management, he currently serves as a Marine Manufacturing Coordinator, bringing a unique blend of legal insight, corporate governance knowledge, and operational coordination to support marine manufacturing projects.
