08/11/2022: A beneficiary of the EMC Enterprise and Supplier Development Program Ms. Nokwanda Dlamini, director of Ozel Lift yesterday left the country for Germany to attend a mentoring program with 3 well-established German Companies.

Ozel Lift (Pty)LTD is a 100% youth-owned company registered in 2013, specializing in elevator and escalator services. Ozel Lift is a beneficiary of the Transnet Port Terminal-sponsored EMC Enterprise and Supplier Development incubation program.

This woman-owned company has teamed up with mechanics who boast more than 20 years of experience to ensure that they provide good quality services.

Ms. Nokwanda is a very self-motivated, optimistic, and dedicated person with project and people management skills. She had a training stint with Eskom Contractors Academy at the University of Limpopo. She was part of the group that underwent skills training in imports and exports trained by Global Maritime on behalf of the Durban Chamber of Commerce.

Before the opportunity to attend this mentorship program, she had already received international exposure in the German market, international project management, and international trade.

Ozel Lifts also participated in the Exporters and Importers program with the Department of Trade Industry Competition, which helped expose SMMEs seeking to partner with multinational corporations to new opportunities.

The goal is to one day have a manufacturing company here in South Africa rather than importing the elevator and escalator components, therefore Ms. Dlamini is expected to visit with a number of German elevator specs manufacturing companies while she is travelling to explore collaboration
